Shaw and Partners Doctor Saturday 29th November 2025 and WA Race Week 22nd to 29th November 2025

Paddlers - If you are looking at entering 'The Doctor' please go to www.Oceanpaddler.com and enter, plus make sure you enter all the races across the week, such as the Sunset Series or the period you are there.

Accommodation:
A few of us are staying in the Hillary’s Marina, try and get an AirBnb close or stay near Sorrento SLSC if you can.

Boat Transport:
There will be 2 trailers heading to WA: Dave Myatt will be driving one over and Christies Beach SLSC the other, the cost is a flat $400 return or 1 way.

Ski Hire/hoping to buy:
If you have ticked ski hire on your entry, let Steve Dalton know if you intend to buy your ski after the event, as it is a saving of rental fee. Contact Steve for arrangements, either Fenn Wahoo, Fennix Elite S, Fenn Cuda. (he can organise discounted skis) with Oceanpaddlers' Dean Gardiner.

The 2025 Doctor Transport via "Blue Destiny

FULL PAYMENT NOW REQUIRED...We are on board again for 2025 with our own boat "Blue Destiny" to take us from Hillary's to Rottnest. All you need to do is purchase here and we will send more details as they come to hand. In previous years this method of transport has worked a treat and dropped us off right in front of the start area.

Cost will be $195 for single skis and $250 for doubles. We will collect balance at some stage however we just need deposits by end of September to grab your spot.

Strictly limited to 20 people with ski's. Unfortunately the boat will be heading straight back once we have been dropped off, so spectators will have to come back via ferry or another mode of transport. We will provide noodles to wrap around ski's. Spectators do not need to book - just let us know if someone else is coming with you

South Australian Ocean and Surf Ski Paddlers

A group dedicated to Ocean and Surf Ski Paddling around South Australia. This group takes part in SLSA spec surf ski competitions and ocean ski downwind paddling training sessions and special events within South Australia and Australia. The group works closely with Surf Life Saving South Australia.

Members are from South Australian Surf Life Saving Clubs, Canoeing Clubs, Outriggers and Stand Up Paddlers plus recreation paddlers.

Our aim is to deliver training and development sessions that improve paddling and take part in events involving downwind racing whilst providing an organisation for all to be part of.

We use ocean skis (familiar brands like Epic and Fenn, Think, Vajda and Stellar), outriggers, racing kayaks and SLSA spec racing skis.

Our aim is to participate in high level ocean paddling events, such as the Australian Ocean Series, The Doctor, Perth World Cup, 20 Beaches and other events in Australia like the Anaconda as well internationally like the Molokai World Cup event in Hawaii.

All training and special event updates and entries are included on the groups Facebook page, all paddlers are welcome to post, events, training sessions and in particular group meet ups for downwind training.
