Paddlers that braved the cold weather on Sunday July 16 were rewarded with some solid northely winds that created great downwind conditions.
Sunday 13 August wrap A good paddle today in conditions that were pleasant but you had to work hard for them no gifts. Luke of course smashed us all, but a big big big recognition to Mick Schuddinh Mick is visionally impaired. He said to me yesterday don't worry if I walk into doors or walls it's ok I do plan on paddling tomorrow from Grange to Brighton. I was somewhat confused if you can't see a door or wall how are you going to find your way to Brighton! We sent Mick off 15 odd minutes before the rest of us and I told him you need to keep a straight line. I'm Very confused at this time. Mick says 'yer no worries' I see things in the distance. I say well try to count the jetty's and turn left at the the 3rd, 'Ok. Yer no worries' We put a orange hat on Mick to tell other paddlers we need to check on those paddlers as we pasts them. Well let me tell you no need to worry at all about Mick, I sat behind him for some time as other paddlers did also. He not only stayed on line he finished the 14 ks in a time that was very good. I was relived when I saw him come in. He may not have seen me watching!!!!!!!!! Could you do that ???
