Race Entry
Who can enter?
To race in the series, paddlers must be financial members of a Surf Lifesaving club within Australia and hold a proficient Bronze Medallion award at the date of the race. The race is open to paddlers aged 16 and above as of midnight on the 1st of October of the current year. Race conditions can often be challenging, thus all paddlers must be competent and if in doubt consult their coaches before doing a race.
What equipment do I need?
All paddlers must provide their own race craft (surf ski or ocean ski and paddles), must have an appropriate life jacket, distress flare, high visibility hat, leg rope and race number. Life jackets, flares, hats, leg ropes and race numbers can be purchased from the Equipment Store page. Race numbers from previous races in the series can be used and be retained for future races.
Can I register on the day?
On the day registrations can be made online or can be purchased at the race officials tent. Registration on the day will incur a $10.00 late registration fee.
